Getting your pet used to the smart feeder

Some animals need some time to get used to the new feeder. Therefore, we recommend the following:

Place the feeder next to your dog's or cat's food bowl without turning it on.
At first, fill both the current bowl and the bowl of the automatic feeder with food.
When your pet has become accustomed to the automatic feeder, you can remove the regular bowl.

To arouse your pet's curiosity about the automatic feeder, you should put some treats in the bowl at first.

Cleaning

To ensure proper functioning, the feeder, especially the bowl and the food bowl, should be cleaned regularly. Crumbs and grease deposits can impair operation and cause clogging. Switch off the automatic feeder and disconnect it from the mains.

Remove the feed tray. To do this, press the buttons on the right and left that release the bowl. You can easily pull the feed tray upwards with the lid open. You can clean the parts with water (not dishwasher safe) or with a cloth. The station should not be cleaned with water, only with a damp cloth. Before refilling new food, the food container and bowl must be completely dry.

With some types of food, it may be necessary to clean the light barrier at the dispenser outlet from time to time with a dry cloth as well, as otherwise false error messages can be generated due to dirty sensors.

The sensors are located on the outlet side, about 2-3 cm from the opening. The sensors are best accessed from the front of the automatic feeder when the vessel is removed.
